What the Heck is in my Travel Toiletry Bag(s)

Out of all of the things I pack, I still struggle with over packing my toiletry bag. I don’t know what it is, but I cannot seem to decide what I need to pack and what I can leave home for a few days. I definitely did a better job on this trip compared to past trips, but still, there’s just a lot happening.

Here’s what made the flight to Orlando...

Well, first, here’s the deal. I have 2 toiletry bags. One, clear bag for my liquids and one black bag for the rest of my stuff. I got both of these from Target at least a year or two years ago and they’ve held up really well!

Okay, now back to what’s in my bags...

First up, my black bag. This holds everything from my toothbrush to my makeup so it never stays as organized as I’d like but what ever, stuff ends up all over the hotel room anyways. I have at least gotten good at keeping my makeup minimal on trips so this bag has my brushes, powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, and mascara, oh and my eyebrow gel...oh yeah and my lipstick/glosses. But that’s IT for makeup. Oh, nope, also my concealer...

Fun Fact: I hardly ever pack foundation on my summer vacations because I live in tinted sunscreen.

Anyways, the rest of the items in my bag are my hairbrush and comb, some hair ties and clips, my tiny jewelry bag (cause it fits well in here whatever), my acne patches (just in case), my toothbrush, oh and my beauty blender. Oh wait nope, I also keep some boob tape in here because sometimes you just need it! Oh yeah, and also my makeup wipes and a razor can’t forget about those!

Next up, my clear bag. This is a little more, scratch that, a lot more of a mess because I’m always packing more skin care than I need or even use! I don’t know, I can’t help myself. This bag has got my deodorant, sunscreens (ZO Skin Health and Alastin), face wash, face mask, lip mask, moisturizer, toothpaste, and sometimes even a random thing of hairspray in here. Sometimes I even throw a few extra lipsticks or makeup items in here if I forget to pack them in my other bag. And yeah, sometimes there’s even shampoo, conditioner and lotion in there (even though I always share a larger bottle with my mom or buy one when I get there).

Seriously I don’t know what it is because I tend to avoid overpacking - at least for the most part - but the toiletries, I think it’s a lost cause.

What do you always overpack?
