2022 Reading Goal and a Few of My Favorites

I used to read all the time. I'm talking all the Magic Tree House Books, Harry Potter series, you know all major books typical elementary to middle schoolers read back in the early to mid-2000s. Then once I got to high school and college I spent so much time reading my assigned books that the last thing I wanted to do was read for fun.

Now that I'm out of school, I've gotten back into reading and I've been adding it to my evening routine. I've also been obsessed with my Kindle Paperwhite - which makes it much easier, in my opinion, to add reading into your day. Plus, there's really nothing I love more than having a book to read while laying out at the pool or in the sun during the warm summer months (can you tell I'm ready for warm weather?).

This is also going to sound ridiculous, but even when I wasn't reading consistently/at-all, I was still adding books to my Kindle library! So, now I've got a pretty good selection of books saved.

Reading Goal

Is it even a surprise that I have some sort of goal for my reading? Honestly, no. My goal for this year is 10 books. I know, it's a super small number. Why? Because I wanted to pick a number that seemed easy for to reach without having to stress about it. Now, it's possible I'll read more than 10 and it's possible that I won't. My point is that I want something attainable, that I can enjoy while working towards my goal!

We all know I like lists and tracking and check off sheets, so I'm a huge fan of Goodreads! One, I can find books my friends loved and also recommend books to friends. But, it automatically connects to my kindle account - so tracking what I read takes absolutely no time at all! If you're looking for some book recommendations, be sure to check out my account and see what I'm reading!
